New Here?

At St. Martin's Lutheran Church, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith. For over 100 years, we've been helping spread God's good news here in our hometown of Annapolis and throughout the world. Whether you've been attending church for years or have not stepped into a sanctuary in decades, we hope you'll come and join us Sunday if you're looking for a church in Annapolis. We're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you will join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Here's what you can expect when you come to either our 8:00am or 10:00am service.

Where is St. Martin's? Our church is located at 1120 Spa Road and parking is located on either side of the church with entrances off Forest Drive or Spa Road. For a map and driving directions, click here.

What do I wear? Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation consists of all types of people in all kinds of dress. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you will see both. We just want you to be comfortable!

After I arrive, where do I go? When you walk in, find one of our ushers and introduce yourself. They will show you where everything is.

What may I expect in worship? During the service, you will hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up, and our pastor's preaching. Click here to learn more about our worship service.

May I receive Holy Communion? Holy Communion is celebrated each week. The Lutheran faith acknowledges the real presence of Jesus crucified and risen in the Eucharist. All baptized Christians who affirm God’s presence and forgiveness in Holy Communion are invited to the Lord’s table. We offer both wine and grape juice during communion. We also have a gluten free option available. Those not receiving communion are invited to come forward for a blessing.

Do children attend worship? We encourage parents to include kids of all ages in worship.  We have a PRAYGROUND in the sanctuary for kids during worship where they will find age-appropriate activites.  We also offer a Children’s Message during the 10:00am service where kids are called to the front for a special message.

No matter what your Christian background is (or isn't), we hope you'll join us on Sunday. Here at St. Martin's, you'll find people of all sizes, stripes and colors, and we welcome everyone--including you.
